Hachi[3] was a human[2] mercenary of the Scarabi. She[3] led a group of Scarabi in kidnapping Rebel Alliance leader Mon Mothma on the planet Uveron. Hachi and her team were successful in kidnapping Mothma, who at the time was remotely attending the trial of Lando Calrissian.[2] The Scarabi left a message offering to return Mothma for a large payment before they inquired with other parties, such as the Galactic Empire. Calrissian, who had brokered deals with the Scarabi previously, recognized Hachi's voice when she kidnapped Mothma.[3]

While Mothma was held captive by the Scarabi, Hachi spoke with her and asked her about her motivation for joining the Rebel Alliance. After listening to Mothma's reasoning, Hachi began to consider the possibility that kidnapping Mothma had been a mistake, but she was shot and killed by another Scarabi mercenary before she could finish speaking.[4]
