M'iiyoom Onith speaking H'nemthe and laughing with Feltipern Trevagg
H'nemthe was a language.[1] M'iiyoom Onith, a member of the H'nemthe species,[3] spoke in H'nemthe while laughing with[1] the Gotal Feltipern Trevagg, who was romancing Onith in the back rooms of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley spaceport on the planet[3] Tatooine[2] in 0 BBY.[4] It shared its name with the H'nemthe system in the Outer Rim Territories.[5]
Behind the scenes
The H'nemthe language was first heard in the 1977 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.[2] The language heard in the film was then identified as H'nemthe in the 2019 video "Every Language in Star Wars Movies," which was part of the Star Wars By the Numbers series created by StarWarsKids.com.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, H'nemthe was introduced as the native language of the H'nemthe species in the 2003 Star Wars Roleplaying Game supplement Ultimate Alien Anthology, which was released by Wizards of the Coast; however, it was never associated with the language heard in A New Hope in that continuity.[6]
