H'nemthe[2] were a reptilian[5] sentient species[1] with sharp tongues. M'iiyoom Onith was a member of this species, and she was courted by the Gotal tax collector Feltipern Trevagg, who did not know the dangers of romancing a H'nemthe.[2]

H'nemthe in the galaxy

A H'menthe named M’iiyoom Onith appeared in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in 0 BBY, sharing a booth with Gotal tax collector Feltipern Trevagg and Givin smuggler Elis Helrot. Unaware of H'menthe mating customs, Trevagg attempted to romance Onith, not realizing the potential consequences.[2]

In 0 ABY,[6] while searching for Grakkus the Hutt on Nar Shaddaa, C-3PO and Chewbacca entered an bar. Among the patrons was a H'menthe.[7]

At Jabba’s Palace during the Rescue of Han Solo in 4 ABY, a H'menthe was visible while Han Solo and Luke Skywalker were escorted to the Khetanna[8]

In 5 ABY During an incident at the Circus of Mortal Appetites, Nath Tensent encountered an H'menthe. After pulling aside a curtain, he came face to face with the protruding nose of the reptilian humanoid. The H'menthe let out a sound between a hiss and a yelp before slipping agilely past Nath and Chass na Chadic, disappearing into the crowded shellmongers’ tent.[5]

Behind the scenes

The H'nemthe species first appeared in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope in 1977.
