Goroth Prime,[3] also known as Goroth,[4] was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] in the Goroth system in the Trans-Nebular sector of the Mid Rim Territories, in grid square R-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It was a rich source of hyperbaride, a mineral that lay beneath Goroth Prime's crust. In 10 BBY, the Galactic Empire had outsourced the mining on hyperbaride to various subsidiary organizations, and many native Gorothites were also used for forced labor. Due to the highly radioactive nature of the mineral, many of the natives became horribly exposed with the damage to them and the planet as a whole being disastrous.[2]
When Agent Alecia Beck of the Imperial Security Bureau requested a meeting with Senator Mon Mothma, Mothma's aide, Hendri Underholt, lied to Beck and told her that Mothma had already left Coruscant and had gone on a fact-finding mission to Goroth.[4] The Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk'wassak'Cradossk once joined a Rodian posse on Goroth Prime.[3]
