A gork gork treat was a small treat that charhounds ate. According to Jedi Master Emerick Caphtor, charhounds would do anything for them. In 228 BBY, Caphtor carried at least one of the treats with him as he and Nihil scientist Niv Drendow Apruk traveled to investigate the Force-consuming Nameless creatures' origins in the Kharvashark Ruins on the Outer Rim moon Vrant Tarnum.

After a group of charhounds chased them to the ruins, the Jedi Master used the Force to hold them back. Later, Capthor threw a gork gork treat into a charhound's mouth and scritched the creatures, allowing the two to carry out their research.

In 228 BBY,[2] during the High Republic Era, Jedi Master Emerick Caphtor carried at least one gork gork treat with him when he and the Nihil scientist Niv Drendow Apruk traveled to Vrant Tarnum—a moon in[1] the Outer Rim[3] Tarabba sector—to investigate the origins of the Force-consuming Nameless creatures. As the two made their way to[1] the Kharvashark Ruins,[4] they were chased by a group of charhounds. After eventually reaching the ruins, and knowing the creatures would not give up until they had caught the pair, Caphtor began using the Force to hold the charhounds off while Apruk looked over notes the Jedi Master had brought with him.[1]

Caphtor eventually stopped using the Force to hold back the hounds back, which the Nihil noticed and noted to the Jedi. The Jedi Master replied that Aprukk—who had claimed to have studied Vrant Tarnum's fauna—had missed an attribute about charhounds while studying them: they would do anything for a gork gork treat. Caphtor then threw one of the treats into the mouth of a charhoud and scritched them. With the hounds no longer intent on harming them, the Jedi Master and Apruk carried out the research they had traveled to the moon for and ultimately left.[1]

A gork gork treat appeared in the third issue of the 2024 comic miniseries Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone. The issue was written by Daniel José Older, illustrated by Lucas Marangon, and published by Dark Horse Comics as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase III[1] on December 18, 2024.[5]
