Emerick Caphtor was a human male Jedi Master of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. Caphtor was tasked with investigating the mysterious death of Loden Greatstorm[1] on the planet Grizal. He found that an old jedi nursery rhyme gave him clues where the Jedi Archives came up short. At the same time, Chancellor Lina Soh of the Galactic Republic hired the private detective Sian Holt to look into the same mystery.[4]
Biography
Emerick Caphtor was taken in by the Jedi Order at a young age. When he was a youngling, Jedi nursemaid Ruusstha Vidyarvrikt would sing a nursery rhyme to him when he wouldn't go to sleep.[1]
Powers and abilities
Caphtor could use the Force to induce a feeling of calm in another person.[2] According to Stellan Gios, Caphtor was the best investigator the Jedi Order had and he was also a capable fighter with a lightsaber.[1] He could dispel fog through telekinesis[4] and was capable of piloting a starship in battle.[5]
Equipment
Emerick Caphtor wielded a yellow-bladed lightsaber. He had a droid assistant called Q-2.[1]
