Niv Drendow Apruk was an Umbaran male scientist who served as a member of the Nihil during the High Republic Era. He was a protégé of Ithorian[2] Minister of Advancement Baron Boolan and worked within the pirate group's science sector.[5]
Behind the scenes
Niv Drendow Apruk first appeared in Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase III.[6] Wong described Apruk as their "terrible son"[7] and also enjoys the character's double first name.[8] He was originally going to be named Veet, and later Nive Drendow Apruk, before recieving the final name Niv Drendow Apruk.[9]
