"I've got something better."
"A credit. Is this a joke."
"This is Gorak's lucky credit. He had it in his pocket when it deflected a blaster shot and saved his life. Then he bet it on the track and won his fortune."
"Yeah? Then how d'you get it?"
"Nix stole it. So, do you want some good good luck or not?"
"Okay, okay, I'll take it!"

Gorak Palas, the susposed owner of the credit

Gorak's lucky credit was a fake charm that in reality was just a normal credit.[1]

This section of the article assumes a specific path in Star Wars Outlaws. Any alternate paths may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon.

In 3 ABY,[2] Kay Vess spoke with a human individual while both were on Achra Station in the Akiva system. During the conversation the thug offered to buy Nix, Vess's Merqaal companion, commenting that they had heard that Merqaals were lucky. Instead, Vess offered them a normal credit but lied and said that it was a lucky charm that belonged to the Pyke Syndicate underboss Gorak Palas. As part of her lie, Vess told the thug that the credit had deflected a blaster bolt while in Palas's pocket and that he later used it to win a fortune while gambling. When questioned about how it ended up in Vess's possession, she told them that Nix had stolen it. Convinced by Vess's lie, the human purchased the credit for 250 credits.[1]

Behind the scenes

Gorak's lucky credit was mentioned by in an optional interaction that players could have in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. When initially asked by the human if they could purchase Nix the player has the option of just leaving which will end the interaction and the players will miss out on earning 250 credits.[1]
