"I've got something better."
"A credit. Is this a joke."
"This is Gorak's lucky credit. He had it in his pocket when it deflected a blaster shot and saved his life. Then he bet it on the track and won his fortune."
"Yeah? Then how d'you get it?"
"Nix stole it. So, do you want some good good luck or not?"
"Okay, okay, I'll take it!"

While on the station, they struck up a conversation with Kay Vess, offering to buy her Merqaal companion, Nix, commenting that they had heard that Merqaals were lucky. Instead, Vess offered them a single credit, falsely claiming it was a lucky charm that belonged to the Pyke underboss Gorak Palas. Vess went on to state that the credit deflected a blaster bolt while in Palas's pocket and that he later used it to win a fortune while gambling. When questioned about how it ended up in Vess's possession, she explained that Nix stole it. Convinced by Vess's lie, the human purchased the credit for 250 credits.[1]

Behind the scenes

The human, identified by the subtitles as simply "thug", appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.
