Goonral Monshi

Goonral Monshi^[4] was a Latero^[2] Jedi Knight^[4] who operated during the High Republic Era and participated in the Assault on Mulita, where warriors of the Jedi Order and the Hutt Clan launched a joint offensive on the Great Progenitor and her Drengir progeny in the hopes of putting an end to the Drengir crisis. Monshi wielded a blue-bladed lightsaber.^[2]

Powers and abilities

As a Jedi Knight he possessed a strong connection to the Force and was trained in the use of a lightsaber that he could use to deflect blaster fire.^[5] He was able to keep multiple Nihil from being sucked in space and keep them lifted in the air through telekinesis.^[6]

Behind the scenes

The Latero Jedi first appeared, albeit unidentified, in the eighth issue of the comic series Star Wars: The High Republic, written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Ario Anindito, and published by Marvel Comics^[2] on August 11, 2021.^[7] Prior to his debut, he was first revealed on August 4 in a preview for the issue showcased on StarWars.com.^[8]
