- "Baby, when have I ever let you down?"
"Well, there was that time on Gonda with the Sabacc [sic] game where you almost lost me to a Hutt on that awful bet, and that other time on Tatooine when you nearly lost the ship—" - ―Lando Calrissian and L3-37
Gonda was a terrestrial[4] planet located in the Gonda system, within the Bon'nyuw-Luq sector[2] of the Outer Rim Territories,[1] in grid square N-18 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] Gonda was where smuggler Lando Calrissian nearly lost his droid companion L3-37 to a member of the Hutt species after making a bad bet in a game of sabacc.[4] In 34 ABY,[5] Gonda was included on a map in the book Traveler's Guide to Batuu, written by the historian Eloc Throno.[1]
Behind the scenes
Gonda was first mentioned in the 2018 junior novel Lando's Luck, written by Justina Ireland.[4]

- ↑ Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu establishes that at the time of the book's setting the Resistance was based on Batuu. Star Wars: Timelines dates both the establishment of the Batuu Resistance base and its eventual relocation to Ajan Kloss to 34 ABY. Therefore, the in-universe guide must have been authored that year.
