The Gmar Askilon system was a star system located in the Inner Rim's Krenhner sector. On the Standard Galactic Grid, it was situated in grid square L-14.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Gmar Askilon system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[2] The system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the 1996 novel Before the Storm, which was written by Michael P. Kube-McDowell.[3] The system was then first identified in Cracken's Threat Dossier, a 1997 supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games.[4]
