The Gamor system was located in the Chaykin sector[3] of the Expansion Region[1] and the Slice.[2] It was also situated in the grid square O-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The super-hyperroute[5] known as the Corellian Run connected the Gamor system to the Allanteen and Bacrana systems,[1] and the Gamor Run[4] hyperspace route linked it to the Aridus system.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Gamor system was introduced in the current Star Wars canon in the fifty-second issue of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,,[6] in an article written by Mark Newbold,[7] which was published around December 30, 2015.[8] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[3] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[9]
The Gamor system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[10] The system subsequently made its first appearance in The Clone Wars: Act on Instinct, a webcomic authored by Pablo Hidalgo and released on StarWars.com[11] over the span of the 2009[12]–2010[13] second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series.[12]

Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
