Gall was an astronomical object with an Imperial spaceport[3] that was located in the Gall system in the Cadavine sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Following the capture of the smuggler Han Solo by the bounty hunter Boba Fett[3] in 3 ABY,[5] Fett was sighted in the spaceport on Gall having his vessel, Slave I, repaired.[3]
Having learned of the sighting of Fett, Princess Leia Organa recruited a group of spacers to crew the Millennium Falcon, Solo's YT-1300 light freighter, so that they could follow up on the lead and search for Solo.[3]
Behind the scenes
In the new Star Wars canon, Gall was first mentioned in the 2016 Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars Roleplaying supplement, Friends Like These.[4] Gall originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was a moon first mentioned in X-Wing: Rogue Squadron, a 1996 novel written by Michael A. Stackpole.[6]
