Fruit punch was an orange-colored[2] fruit beverage that was consumable by humans[1] and Ithorians. The drink could served in glasses with a slice of magenta-colored fruit as a garnish.[2]
In 40 BBY,[3] the human Pijali Princess Fanry attended a private yacht party sponsored by the company Czerka Corporation on the Inner Rim planet Pijal, which was put on to celebrate her upcoming coronation. She sipped from a pink glass of fruit punch while speaking with the company's Sector Supervisor Meritt Col.[1] At some point, the Ithorian Momaw Nadon drank fruit punch while seated in[2] Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in the Mos Eisley spaceport on the Outer Rim planet Tatooine.[4]
Behind the scenes
Fruit punch was first mentioned in Claire Piddock and Megan Butler's Star Wars Workbook: 3rd Grade Math, published in 2017 as part of the Star Wars Workbooks series. The beverage was featured as part of a hypothetical math problem in which[2] the smuggler queen[5] Maz Kanata divided thirty-two liters of fruit punch into eight glasses.[2] Fruit punch made its first appearance in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel by Claudia Gray.[1] In the real world, fruit punch is a beverage made from fruit juices mixed with water or soda water that is often served iced.[6]
