The Pijali were a cultural group of humans from the Inner Rim planet Pijal and its moon.[1] By 40 BBY,[2] a group of Pijali known as the Opposition began to protest the signing of the Governance Treaty, which would form a democratic Assembly that would lack proper representation for the Pijali citizens of the planet's moon.[1]
