Template:Themes (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)
So, this template has bugged me for a while. Yeah it has a lot of redlinks, but the larger issue is that it's essentially a navbox for Category:Themes and leitmotifs (formerly just Category:Musical pieces but I've since subcategorized). It's a kindred spirit to the starship-class navboxes we TC'd awhile back. The vast majority of these articles are not related to one another, and the musical score depicts the extra information on this template quite well. I don't think this template (or its components) are needed.

- Template:RWM is a whole different topic for another time, and I'm more okay with that one as it's equivalent to our Episode <X> multimedia templates. Cade

Keep
- Contrary to the category, the template organises themes and leitmotifs by their first usage in SW media in a release date–chronological order that's useful to understand how music has developed through the saga. Additionally, the full, bulky template would not be displayed on most articles; the use of parameters like {{Themes/Game}} (which can be further split) allow far shorter navboxes to be transcluded in relevant articles. Still, those shorter navboxes link to this full template, which I think serves as an effective hub of the various templates and also gives, as I said, a good visual that at a glance gives additional information for musical themes and leitmotifs as they were introduced through SW media. Aside from the fact that I made the bulk of this template :P I do think that this is something that can be useful to (especially our more music-minded) readers. (Talk) 19:54, 16 April 2023 (UTC) - The page is completely awful in its current form but I think it is fixable - deleting it is definitely not the solution. Enderdrag64 (talk) 20:01, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- Per OOM and Enderdrag. I especially trust Enderdrag of all people to know what they're talking about with musical stuff on the wiki lol. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 21:00, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

- I also think it might be worth exploring navboxes with hideable sections in them, allowing the reader to view only specific parts of a navbox. If that's possible, then this template could be significantly improved to allow the reader access to all our theme articles but without requiring such a bulky template. Master Fredcerique

- Additionally, Template:Galaxy's Edge music is a similar case, but we can handle that in a separate TC. Cade

- Do we know if all of the redlinks are properly linked elsewhere? I thought to check whatlinkshere, but given they appear on every page the template is on.... NBDani

- The shape of the navbox seems very narrow for such a large list. Any way to fix this? Loqiical (talk) 10:25, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
