Template:Recipe (history - links - logs - delete - protect)

Though I'm unsure what exactly is going on with the Interwiki links discussion, one thing I know for sure is that my opinion on this particular template is strong enough to want it nuked irregardless if every other "interwiki" is kept. Though it could be CSD'd as unused, prefer to formally TC it so as to prevent its recreation.

  2. Mostly unmoderated hellscape. Very inactive admin team, which has resulted in...
  1. People can post literally anything they want. Without active moderation, this has resulted in a lot of TOU-violating content like slurs and derogatory phrasing to not get caught and stay on the site in perpetuity. I've reported several such instances of it to Fandom to have their SOAP members clean up while researching for this TC.
  2. As it has minimal core community, it's almost completely devoid of policy/structure. No infoboxes, minimal categorization, no referencing (because people can post their personal recipes, so what would you even cite this to?) the works.
  1. When food recipes are included in cookbooks, we include this information in the BTS and properly cite it. IMO is a disservice anyway, even if we were to go create recipe pages on the Recipe Wiki ourselves for every SW dish, to be linking to such a place unnecessarily when the information will always be present on our site on any complete page. Due to lack of moderation, even if we made them over there, there's no guarantee they'd stay accurate.

TLDR fair enough if we want to link to other well-moderated and maintained Fandom wikis with active communities and standards. This falls far below any such standards (if it has standards at all).   • We don't actually include food recipes on Wookieepedia. The intention of the template was to link to a corresponding page on the Recipes Wiki that does provide a recipe you could follow to make the Star Wars food based on official cookbooks, since our BTS sections at most only list the ingredients (actually providing the recipes on the Wook would be both out of our scope and also probably violate copyright). But of course, the lack of use here and the lack of moderation there is regrettable. OOM 224 22:50, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
