German-language original audio dramas (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)

Just to be very clear, this is only a TC of the page that is a list of all the audio dramas. The individual audio dramas are notable and are in dire lack of coverage. I'm very conflicted about this page. I personally think it is useful, but it very much goes against the spirit of Wookieepedia. We don't do lists, and that is basically what this article is. We already have Category:German-language original audio dramas, and this page is just redundant to that. Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be a real concrete connection between these works, having been published by different publishers. Sure they where in the same language with the same type of media, but does that mean we should create "English-language original audio dramas" or any other number of language+media.   1. This seems like a vital resource for anyone interested in continuing the research into a pretty niche field. Perhaps it should not exist in the main namespace and be moved to someplace else, but deleting it outright right now is counter-productive. OOM 224 (he/him) 22:57, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
  2. I know we're allergic to having lists, but tbh Star Wars media is maybe the one thing I could truly see the usefulness in having a list of. There's certainly precedent for having such pages (see Star Wars comic books and List of books). On a personal level, lists of media, if there are any, might be among the types of pages I visit most often on wikis on other franchises. One of the reason why is that they present an easily accessible overview of these works in order of release, which is also why the argument "we have a category for this" doesn't really work as well here. I'd understand TC'ing this if it was redundant to one of our Timeline pages, but it doesn't appear to be. Imperators II(Talk) 10:22, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

  • Following up on my suggestion of moving it someplace else, maybe [Category:German-language original audio dramas/List]? Any better suggestions? I think limiting it to a specific user's subpage is sub-optimal because this should be a public, shared resource. OOM 224 (he/him) 22:58, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
