Genetically defective clone (talk - history - links - logs - delete - protect)
Genetically defective clone is not a good article name, Defective clone trooper is a better title for all defective clones as it states in Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide, for example the clone Muzzle is a defective clone and Echo is part of CT-99 as it states in Bad Batch and not a Genetically defective clones, Defective clone troopers is a better title to include all defective clones in one article as AZI-3 states in Aftermath the Bad Batch did not know they were Genetically defective but they knew they were Defective clones the designation CT-99s means a defective clone not genetically defective clone.
(Delete Genetically defective clones to Redirect to Defective clone trooper)

- 1) I am a genetically defective clone and I find this offensive. 2) "Genetically defective clone" is a canonical term. "Defective clone trooper" is, at best, conjecture. 3) Deleting an article from a canonical term instead of redirecting it is insane. 4) Not all genetically defective clones were troopers, so the proposed new title (which is, again, conjecture versus a canonical term) is inaccurate. 5) Is Muzzle one of the CT-99s or the DCTs? The article is about clones who are specifically genetically defective, not all "defective" clones. SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 10:02, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- Do not call other people's suggestions "insane". Please be mindful of WP:CIVIL. Imperators II(Talk) 10:50, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- Defective clone trooper is actually not conjecture, it's used in Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide, which also considers clones like 99 to be defective clone troopers. It also doesn't seem to consider Echo to be one, so moving this page wouldn't actually change what the article covers, just the name itself. I do agree though that a TC isn't really the best way to move a page. CometSmudge (talk) 15:31, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- That is important! Either way, my opinion stands that the current title is just fine, although this canonical name ought to be mentioned somewhere. SorcererSupreme21 (talk) 00:51, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe something like 'Genetically defective clones, also known as Defective clone troopers were clones who served as a rendered defective clone in the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars.' (talk) 05:40, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

- While the "Defective clone trooper" name isn't conjecture, the move should not be done as it would prove exclusionary for any defective clones that are not troopers. Also per Sorceror, the existing title isn't conjectural as-is anyway. - Thannus (DFaceG) (he/him) (talk) 20:20, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- I guess the category page should be changed to [Category:Defective clones] then. (talk) 08:24, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

- Hi! I think you meant to start this as a talk page? Since typically discussions about moving a page name would be held there Editoronthewiki (talk) 02:20, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
