As was decided last Mofference, a WookieeProject was established (or hijacked) to handle the unused images. So we have, and we will be deleting a large number of unused images every week. The first batch consists of the first 150 images on the list. They will be deleted Friday the 24th of November. Gallery-only images to be deleted 3/30/07

This page contains what's left of items 1 to 200 on the gallery-only deletion list. To create this list, I found line 200 on the first revision of the main gallery-only deletion list, then copied all the filenames up to that point in the current revision of the main list. I then reviewed the new list for used or deleted images, and the gallery that now exists is the result. Unless Imp has any other ideas, that's how I'll list each subsequent round.         • Unfortunately, adding them in that way most often does not constitute fair use. It works for things like the Andrasta, where we link to an image to help illustrate something, but not in the way that you seem to be doing it JMAS (ie. linking to them for the sake of linking to them, especially when we have valid images that would otherwise illustrate them). —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:30, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

    • For the most part, I agree that animated gifs are generally not preferable to use. But there are exceptions, and I think these 6 should be the exception. I believe that if anything is going to piss off LFL it's the galleries (not the templates or the chrome, the stupid galleries). Particularly galleries like this and this but also including the character galleries.
