Crimsol Vaighn

Crimsol Vaighn was a scientist who worked for the Mummer terrorists during the Galactic Civil War.[2] In 1 ABY,[1] he was the Chief Scientist of the organization and stationed in the Mummer bunker, the organization's local headquarters, located near Theed. During that time, he was responsible of a violent terrorist attack in Theed. Crimsol Vaighn was killed not long after the attack, during a raid on the Mummer bunker by troopers of the Royal Naboo Security Forces led by Sergeant Brunser.[2]

Behind the scenes

Crimsol Vaighn appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[2] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Crimsol Vaighn was added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[4]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
