Following up on this, which itself completed SH phase here, forwarding through a tiny bit that got left behind. While {{Inuse}} now has a idle limit, which is great and hasn't caused any issues, {{Wip}} doesn't have any.

Of course, Wip is inherently much more loose than Inuse, as the latter is basically "don't edit this at all, I'm actively working on it, so as to avoid edit conflicts. Wip is more to let folk know to be careful, as it is still a work in progress and may be going under a 'major edit' (which also is what it's categorized as).

However though, in my opinion it is still counterproductive to have no method to remove a Wip tag if it's been idle for a decently long period of time in which no "current edit session" is demonstrably underway. Sure, every page sans SAs is a "work in progress" on Wookieepedia, but having a WIP tag on thousands of articles doesn't do much to truly add to a stub tag other than being ugly.

Thus, proposing that a idle limit of 30 days with no non-bot edits made be implemented for Wip and added to its template documentation and the category explanation (alongside capitalizing the template to match others that have been capitalized as of late). This should be a fair amount of time for at least one (1) edit to be made to keep the template there. If someone chooses to add it back at any time, they can do so; same as Inuse.—spookywillowwtalk 00:39, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
