It’s CT time for the no-longer-forgotten ideas about modifying Template:Inuse. Per this SH from a bit ago, there appears to be some consensus around the idea of removing the nomination parameters for this template so as to discourage overly-lengthy applications of this template. Vote 1 will be about removing the nom field from the template altogether. Vote 2 will posit an updated time limit for an Inuse to exist on a page without "major edits" (to use the language of the template). Currently, admins generally try to remove inactive Inuses after one month, but this vote will try to change this to be codified and decreased to one week.   • Isn’t the usage already there under “Notes”? There is only one way to apply it currently and the template seems simple enough to not need a proper /doc page.—spookywilloww^talk 21:26, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
    • I wasn't requesting a /doc subpage, but I consider it to be a good practice to have a template fully documented rather than being left to editor's best guess.
