Righto, forwarding on Cade's behalf. This is already mostly the standard among recent status articles ("Celestia Galactica Photografica") and on other pages generally for crawls (Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith). Maybe it just slipped through the cracks?

Anyway, per prior votes, we already disallow links in (the actual text of) quotes, and within the text portion of {{ExcerptIU}}. Publisher's summaries are us taking a direct quote of (usually) the publisher's website, just not in a template, so I feel like the intent there is to not be linking in those summaries because they are quotes as well. Whereas when linked below as done on SAs usually, these topics can be linked with/alongside proper context. Same thing for crawls; per the ROTS example it also looks rather cleaner like that. Of course, media is sort of the wild west, but this CT would be implemented by the current bot run as it goes through media if passed. Separating out into two votes anyhow, for WP:MOS#Linking:
