Another grouping of—in my opinion—extremely minor and tedious things that would be a waste of space to each have their own forum because of how small they are.

Preloads note WP:LG
To alter the bolded: Various infoboxes and common page components, such as citation templates, can be accessed by using the standard preloads just above the "Save changes" button.
And also, to approve the future changes of the above statement by admins with simple updates without need for a future vote, if the preload function ever changes in functionality due to Fandom interface changes or otherwise, or to be able to temporarily alter/note when they're broken for periods of time without having to CT that.

WP:MOS WP: links
To alter the bolded:
- In-universe articles should not link to real-world Wikipedia articles, except in the "Behind the scenes" and "External links" sections, as well as in citation templates as necessary.
Use case: Barium. This is already common SA precedent even though disallowed, but we do list the Wikipedia page in External links with {{WP}} and we also link it in citation templates if an author or organization like Entertainment Weekly or whatnot is being sourced, or even just as in the example, Wikipedia linking to Encyclopedia Britannica.

WP:MOS First-mention links
To add two bullet points to the "A subject should be linked once upon its first mention in:" list, above tables:
- Succession boxes
- Family trees
We already do this anyway on every page I can think of Fanry#Sources (succession); Barash Silvain's family (family tree); IMO both of these features are useless without links to click to navigate with them. That, or if we don't amend it, we'd have to go delink them all, which I'm not sure we'd want to do.

WP:MOS Limited lists
Current:
- Avoid using lists as they present information in the form of trivia or miscellaneous facts; information relevant to the article topic should be formally presented in prose as part of a suitable article section, pursuant to the Layout Guide.
Proposed:
- Generally, lists should be avoided, as they present information in the form of trivia or miscellaneous facts. Information relevant to the article topic should be formally presented in prose as part of a suitable article section, pursuant to the Layout Guides. Though lists should not be used as standard, an individual article's needs should be considered. Some use cases of lists in articles include listing the vocabulary of a language on its article (example: Evereni (language)).

- While not standard, almost all recent language articles that have Vocab now format it with a list per precedent. It looks clean, and with specific use cases, I don't see it to be harmful. Such tweaking allows us to continue to generally not use lists everywhere else, but for us to permit them on a case-by-case basis. Operation Ringbreaker also comes to mind as a very rare case of the boards finding that a list was alright.—spookywillowwtalk 14:44, 21 March 2025 (UTC)

Proposed
- Page protection – Administrative autonomy for permanent protection of any level or type expires six months after the protection's original institution. However, files and templates are partially exempt from the aforementioned requirement and may be temporarily unprotected at any time for routine maintenance and updates.
Think they sound the same? They kinda do. But the current one specifies articles. Now, we have new stuff like... Maps. Indexes. Even stuff that's existed for before those new features, like files, aren't articles. This technically means that administrative autonomy never expires on stuff for anything other than articles. Changed the wording to align with current practice.
