The Floubette system was a star system located in the Colonies[1] that was home to the Floubettean,[2] a group known for their dancing.[3] It was situated at the coordinates L-13 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Floubette system was mentioned in the appendix "Star Systems of the Galaxy," published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025.[4] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, it was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[5]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Floubettean in relation to Floubette system.
