A Kilji known as "Vassal Three" served the Kilji species' government, the Kilji Illumine, as a Kilji vassal, a follower of the Kilji religious beliefs.[1] In 18 BBY,[2] they served aboard General Crofyp's Kilji war cruiser, the Anvil. After the general's task force, consisting of the Anvil and the Kilji picket cruiser Hammer, arrived in the Unknown Regions Rapacc system to retrieve refugees, it was confronted by the Paccosh-commandeered Nikardun blockade frigate Aelos. Crofyp issued the Aelos a directive to allow his forces to retrieve the refugees that hid among the Paccosh, which was refused by the frigate's commander.[1]

Following the exchange, Crofyp ordered Vassal Three to destroy the frigate if it moved into the Anvil's path. After the Anvil moved, and the Aelos did not attack, the Chiss heavy cruiser Springhawk arrived in the system and destroyed the Anvil while the Hammer fled to hyperspace.[1]

Vassal Three appeared in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the final volume in the Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy written by Timothy Zahn.[1]
