"What is taking so long? Activate the shield immediately."
"Uh… The, uh, mekneks are on it, Captain."

Queya was the Neimoidian Chief Officer of the Trade Federation WD-2250 Whydah-class Yield Conveyer Fallon during the High Republic Era. An ambitious officer, she served under Captain Blex and helped to clean up his missteps while awaiting transfer to another vessel.

In 132 BBY, she was on the Fallon's bridge while he complained about repairs to the shield generators taking too long and reminded him that mekneks were still working on it. When the Jedi Yord Fandar and Tasi Lowa arrived to arrest the meknek Verosha Aniseya, Queya initially groaned at their presence, but provided them with Aniseya's location when Fandar prepared to use the Force on Blex.

Queya served as First Mate to Captain Blex.

Queya was a Neimoidian who served the Trade Federation as a merchant fleet officer during the High Republic Era.[1] In 132 BBY,[3] she served as Chief Officer and First Mate under Captain Blex on board the WD-2550 Whydah-class Yield Conveyer Fallon,[1] which was used as a cargo vessel. When the ship needed its shield generators repaired, the mekneks Verosha Aniseya and Fillik were sent onto the Fallon's surface while it was in space to carry out the maintenance.[2]

The use of mekneks violated Galactic Republic legislation stating that only droids could perform outer ship repairs,[2] but Blex had begun cutting corners to try and ensure a profitable run.[1] When the captain complained about how long the repairs were taking and demanded the shields be activated at once, Queya informed[2] him[1] that the mekneks were still working, prompting him to call them disposable. Aniseya, who could hear the conversation on the bridge over comms then responded, causing Blex to groan. A Jedi Vector then approached the Fallon and circled in front of the bridge, where Queya recognized it as a Jedi vessel with surprise. Both she and Blex then groaned.[2]

Queya provided the Jedi with Verosha Aniseya's location when Yord Fandar prepared to use the Force on Blex.

Once the starfighter docked, the Jedi Knight Yord Fandar and his Padawan, Tasi Lowa, made their way to the bridge and informed Blex and Queya that they were looking for Aniseya. Queya whimpered, drawing Lowa's attention, as Blex denied there being any passengers or mekneks on board the Fallon. Fandar eventually cut off Blex's lies by raising his hand to use the Force, but Queya quickly interjected and provided the location of Aniseya's bunk. The two Jedi then left and arrested Aniseya, transferring her to[2] the DTE-CSA-17 Calaboose prison ship Palwick,[4] when it docked with the Fallon.[2]

Queya was an ambitious officer who was disappointed by Blex's lack of foresight or strategy, helping to cover up his missteps on the Fallon until she could secure a transfer to another vessel.[1] She was unpleasantly surprised to see the Jedi, but aided them to prevent Fandar using the Force on Blex. She had green skin and red eyes.[2]

Skills and abilities

Queya could speak Galactic Basic[2] and the secret gestural Pak Pak language.[1]

Equipment

Queya wore a black First Mate's command hat with a gold lining and black and navy robes made of velvoid with a crushed pile finish and a silver trim that denoted her rank.[1]

Behind the scenes

Queya was portrayed by performance artist Benedict Stewardson in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired June 4, 2024, on Disney+.[5] The scenes on the Fallon were shot at Shinfield Studios,[6] England.[7] Prior to the release of the episode, Queya was revealed in a trailer exclusively shown at Celebration Europe[8] during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7, 2023.[9] The episode's credits only identified the character as "Neimoidian Officer,"[2] and she was first named in Pablo Hidalgo's 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide.[1]
