Natori Association was one of companies that were part of the Tenloss Syndicate and operated as a training and supply company. It was based on the planet Sperin in the Palaquin system.[1]
The organization started as a mercenary training organization teaching combat skills mainly to non-humans. The training philosophy of the Natori was to use particular species' natural physical, mental, and cultural abilities to their advantage. For instance Wookiees were deployed as forest fighters while Duros were trained for space combat.[3] Training was rough, and failures were washed-out.[2]
The Natori had a long term security contract with Ororo Transportation but since the two organizations were controlled by the Tenloss Syndicate this amounted to money laundering.[2]
In order to keep a low profile towards the Galactic Empire, Natori did not involve with the Rebel Alliance, and did not confront the Empire directly; even so, its non-human strength, brought some suspicion to the humanocentric Empire.[2]
Malakin Enterprises, also part of the Tenloss Syndicate, was the largest stockholder in the Natori Association.[3]
Natori Association patrol at Vergesso Base
Natori used Vergesso Base (a shadowport controlled by Ororo) as local headquarters organizing transportations, and mustering point; a branch office was located in The Life level of the Base. A battalion of shock troopers under Major Vam Margan, were used for internal security and, in case of an intrusion, base defense. They rotated shifts by company and were typically deployed in squads of ten soldiers, as patrols or guards; they occasionally aided port officials with manual tasks.[2]
