HoloNet News Vol. 531 #56 was one of many in-universe HoloNet News issues published shortly before the release of Attack of the Clones. This issue was released May 16, 2002, Attack of the Clones' actual day of release, and included references to the events of the film. The lead story of the first published version of the site was a report of Padmé Amidala's supposed assassination in the film's opening scene, which was later updated to reveal she survived.
