The Apprentice Legislature was an organization for politically-minded youth. It had offices on many different planets, including Alderaan, Naboo and Thesme.

History

Vidar Kim became Palpatine's mentor after completing his stint in the Apprentice Legislator program. Palpatine spent five years in the organization before being appointed as Senator Kim's ambassador.[1] Padmé Amidala joined this group at the age of eight and achieved the position of Apprentice Legislator at the age of eleven.[2] Amidala's friend and fellow Legislator, Silya Shessaun, first met her at a summit on Alderaan, and acted as her mentor during a week-long political workshop hosted by the organization.[3]
