The Borkeen asteroid belt was an asteroid belt[2] in the Borkeen system in the Belsmuth sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] where an Imperial frigate that held security codes resided[2] at some point between 5 BBY and 4 BBY.[3] The rebel crew of the Ghost ventured into the belt and stole the codes before escaping.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Borkeen asteroid belt appeared in the current Star Wars canon in the browser game Star Wars Rebels: Chopper Chase. It was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via the short-story "The Slug Named Grendel" published in The Star Wars Sourcebook, where it was the remains of a destroyed planet.[4]
