Angcord was a planet in the galaxy mostly covered in water, with numerous rocky islands blanketed with green trees.[5] During the High Republic Era, a pair of Jedi traveled to Angcord to search for ancient artifacts. The legendary Echo Stone was hidden on Angcord at some point before the High Republic Era.[5]
History
At some point before the High Republic Era, the Echo Stone was hidden on Angcord from the Sith Lord Darth Ravi.[5]
During the High Republic Era, Jedi Master Barnabas Vim and his Padawan Vix Fonnick traveled to Angcord to search for the Echo Stone. After discovering that the Echo Stone was corrupting the planet and the Lady of Angcord they destroyed it and scattered its pieces in different places across the galaxy.[5]
Behind the scenes
Angcord first appeared in the 2023 canon comic The High Republic Adventures: Quest of the Jedi.[5] Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide originally placed Angcord in the Inner Rim Territories,[1] and when the Angcord system was added to the Star Systems of the Galaxy appendix of star systems[2] on October 13, 2025,[6] that placement was repeated; however, the update to the Star Wars Galaxy Map on the same day instead erroneously moved Angcord to the Core Worlds.[7]
