"What is your name?"
"Felzonis. Attendant Felzonis."
―Dedra Meero and Felzonis[3]

Felzonis was a human attendant in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Security Bureau (ISB). He worked within the ISB's Investigations department at their central office on the planet Coruscant. In 5 BBY, ISB Supervisor Dedra Meero found him sleeping at his desk and after waking him ordered that he carry out a Multi-Sector Data Blend surveying Imperial equipment that had gone missing over the past two years.

In 2 BBY, Felzonis was posted at the ISB control center in the central office, tasked with monitoring a select group of Senators following the controversial Ghorman Massacre. After noticing suspicious activity from Senator Mon Mothma, the attendant raised it to the attention of Supervisor Lagret. After Lagret checked in on an ISB field agent with Mothma, Felzonis updated the supervisor on information regarding suspected resistance from senators in the upcoming Imperial Senate session. The session ended with Mothma speaking out against the Empire, Lagret passing orders for her arrest through Felzonis. The attendant helped keep the Lagret updated with the search for the rogue senator, informing the supervisor when Colonel Wullf Yularen, the ISB director, was calling in.

Theft investigations

"Hmm. I need a Multi-Sector Data Blend going back two years. They survey pool is Imperial naval bases and repair facilities. I want a record of all missing avionics, comm, navigation, and targeting equipment."
"For which star system?"
"All star systems. Is that a problem?"
―Deedra Meero and Felzonis[3]

During the time of the Galactic Empire, Felzonis served as an attendant in[3] the Investigations branch[4] of the Empire's Imperial Security Bureau (ISB).[3] He[2] was stationed in the ISB datavault within the ISB Central Office on the Imperial capital of Coruscant.[3] In 5 BBY,[5] in the aftermath of a rebel heist, ISB Supervisor Dedra Meero visited the datavault to further her investigations into stolen Imperial equipment. Felzonis was asleep in a seat behind a reception desk at his[6] station when Meero entered the room. He awoke with a start when she addressed him and corrected his tunic when she pointed out that it hung open.[3]

After taking his name, Meero ordered the attendant to run a Multi-Sector Data Blend surveying avionics, comm, navigation, and targeting equipment that had gone missing from Imperial naval bases and repair facilities across all star systems over the past two years. Upon his compliance to this order, the supervisor further informed him that the report would also have to be confidential, with a copy sent only to her office. Felzonis promised that that he could be relied upon before Meero left.[3]

After receiving the report, Meero put together a document detailing what she believed to be a organized rebel effort to steal highly-restricted Imperial equipment across the galaxy; however, despite Felzonis's promise, ISB Supervisor Blevin became aware of the Data Blend she had requested. He reported this as potentially breaching the Sector Protocols outlined in the ISB Code of Conduct during a meeting of the ISB Board, pointing out that she had previously been reprimanded for overreach into other supervisor's sectors. Meero used the recently enacted Imperial Emergency Act to justify her accessing of other sector's data without filing a request or official sanction, ultimately earning the approval of her and Blevin's superior Major Lio Partagaz by explaining her theory.[3]

Senate surveillance

Suspicious activity

"The technicians said there's no malfunction or communication issues on our end. Right here, these are all Senators the Select Council have approved for increased surveillance. It's always a bit quiet this early, but… that's Senator Mothma. It's gone dead. Plus the driver, it seemed worth mentioning."
―Felzonis briefs Lagret[1]

In 2 BBY,[7] Felzonis was stationed in the ISB control centre within the central office. Following the highly controversial Ghorman Massacre,[1] where the Empire killed many Ghorman civilians,[8] Felzonis and other control room staff were told to pay particular attention to the Imperial Senate over the days, with the Select Council,[1] a committee that the ISB took orders from,[9] approving the increased surveillance of a number of senators. With listening devices planted in various senators' offices, Felzonis monitored them from the control centre. Senators like Ton and Mon Mothma discovered these devices, with the latter choosing to destroy it.[1]

Felzonis immediately noticed the lack of response from the bug in Mothma's office, calling over a technician to investigate the matter, establishing that the problem was not on the ISB's end. Additionally, Exmar Kloris, an ISB field agent undercover as Mothma's driver, reported in that the senator had not left the senate that night. As a result, Felzonis called for an ISB supervisor's attention. Supervisor Lagret soon arrived, the attendant briefing him on the suspicious activity around Mothma and the increase attention on the senate. After Lagret asked to see a console, Felzonis showed on the screen how Mothma's bug had gone dead.[1]

Clash of agents

As the morning began, Felzonis stood by Lagret as the latter contacted Kloris for a report on Mothma, learning that she was likely still in the senate. Later that morning, as an emergency senate session on Ghorman was set to take place, the attendant picked up rumors that prominent senators may try to challenge the Empire's narrative on the massacre. Felzonis informed Lagret as such, but was assured by the supervisor that the Chair of the Senate would not allow any of them to speak. Indeed these suspicions were true, as Mothma planned to speak out on the reality of the Ghorman massacre. Beska, one of ISB Supervisor Lonni Jung's agents, infiltrated a small rebel extraction team that was there for to escort Mothma from the senate after the planned speech.[1]

As the resulting senate session progressed, Beska called in to the control room from the senate building with urgent news. Lagret attempted to speak with her, but she was interrupted when one of the rebel team, Charval, caught her. After killing Charval, Beska contacted Felzonis again, asking for instructions. The attendant put her back on with Lagret as a result. After Beska updated Lagret on the situation, the supervisor ordered the senate feed to be shut down. However, two rebel sympathising technicians in the senate sabotaged these efforts, allowing Mothma's speech to go ahead despite Lagret's flush of orders.[1]

After Mothma berated the Empire's actions on Ghorman, Felzonis went to Lagret, who ordered that the senator be arrested before she can leave the building. As security searched the senate building, Mothma was helped by the rebel agent Cassian Andor, who killed Beska when she attempted to arrest the senator. Felzonis soon received news of the dead agent and reported such to Lagret. Mothma and Andor continued to elude security and got away in Mothma's JPP-192 limospeeder after killing Kloris. Colonel Wullf Yularen,[1] director of the ISB,[4] soon called in to the control room, Felzonis notifying Lagret.[1]

Personality and traits

"I'll need this report kept confidential and a copy sent exclusively to my office. Can I rely on you for that level of discretion?"
"Absolutely. Yes. Can do."
"Will do."
"Right. Get on with it."

Felzonis was flustered when Meero woke him and did not think to correct his uniform until she pointed it out. He awoke with a start when the supervisor caught him sleeping and hastily corrected his tunic when it was pointed out. The attendant also corrected his words repeatedly, alternating uncertainly between referring to his superior as sir and ma'am.[3] Felzonis nervously pursed his lips[6] after Meero corrected his "can do" to "will do." Despite his promises of discretion, he failed to prevent Blevin from learning of his work.[3]

At the control center, Felzonis was diligent and was sure to note any suspicious activity following the Ghorman Massacre[2] to Lagret when it came about. A human, Felzonis had dark skin, brown eyes, and black hair.[1]

Felzonis wore a light gray Imperial officer's uniform with two blue pips on his rank insignia plaque, typical of ISB Attendants.[3] At the control center he additionally wore a black Imperial kepi and used a console equipped with a head set.[1]

Behind the scenes

"Let's be real. Felzonis was overworked in season 1, hence the lethargy. The ISB recognised this, so now he’s been promoted and returns for Season 2."
―Ragevan Vasan, on Felzonis's reappearance in Andor's second season[10]

Felzonis was portrayed by Ragevan Vasan in the Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor, appearing in the first season's seventh episode, "Announcement,"[3] which aired on October 19, 2022.[11] Vasan's role as Felzonis was leaked beforehand and subsequently reported on on June 4, 2021.[12]
