Eyo-Dajuritz was a planet[2] in the Eyo-Dajuritz system in the Inner Rim Territories.[1] During its heyday, Eyo-Dajuritz was a sprawling ecumenopolis, housing trillions of people in huge metal towers, while accomplishing marvelous feats of architecture, geo-engineering, and materials science. By the time of the early Republic Era, it had become a fossilized city planet. This was due to shifting oceans and a change of the atmosphere, submerging and subsequently eroding the framework and lower levels of the towers, causing many to collapse.[2]

By the time of the Imperial Era, Eyo-Dajuritz was a galactic heritage world and on the protected planets list, considered an ancient wonder. It was the planet of one of the oldest cultures known in the galaxy, but the name and nature of its constructors were lost to time. Eyo-Dajuritz was located far from major trade lanes. It hosted a dozen floating settlements, where scientist worked to uncover the planet's many secrets. Although the planetary surface was forbidden to the public due to the building's volatile nature, many tourists came to visit the site. Thousands of documentaries and fictional works alike depicted Eyo-Dajuritz. To prevent unauthorized people from arriving there, a sensor net was installed.[2]

During 19 BBY, Saw Gerrera and his Partisans detonated explosives destroying an ancient dam, resulting in the flooding of an empty lakebed and the destruction of numerous ancient towers.[2]
