A world could receive the classification of galactic heritage world by the time of the Imperial Era. The planet Eyo-Dajuritz, which had long been a fossilized ecumenopolis following its decline during the early Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire's predecessor, eventually received this designation.^[1] Around 19 BBY,^[2] Imperial Senator Bail Organa recounted a fictionalized account of his time on Eyo-Dajuritz, in which he was held hostage by guerillas led by freedom fighter Saw Gerrera, in order to promote the necessity of the Imperial Rebirth Act to the Imperial Senate. As part of his speech, he described Eyo-Dajuritz as a galactic heritage world.^[1]

The galactic heritage world of Eyo-Dajuritz appeared in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.^[1]
