The protected planets list existed[1] by 19 BBY.[2] The list included the planet Eyo-Dajuritz—which was a fossilized ecumenopolis by that time.[1] Around 19 BBY,[2] Imperial Senator Mon Mothma was interrogated by the Imperial Security Bureau about her association with fellow senator, Bail Organa. The man interviewing her inquired whether Organa had ever mentioned Eyo-Dajuritz to her, noting its status as part of the protected planets list. Mothma indicated that her colleague had never brought the topic up, though she was familiar with what the location was. Unbeknownst to Mothma, Organa had recently traveled to Eyo-Dajuritz and been taken captive by a rebel group led by freedom fighter Saw Gerrera, who ruined many of the world's ancient structures in an attack.[1]

The protected planets list was mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]

(backup link) states that Edge of the Abyss takes place a year before the events of Andor Season 1, which are set in 5 BBY per the reasoning here. Therefore, the events of Edge of the Abyss must be set in 6 BBY, and the events of The Mask of Fear in 19 BBY.
