Electroblade training swords,[2] or electroblades, were a type of sword whose tapered blades could deliver a nasty shock and were able to deflect blaster bolts, though only to a limited extent. The Jedi Order used them as training weapons, along with wooden staves.[1] During the High Republic Era, the Jedi Order utilized DD-1 hover droids equipped with electroblade training swords to train Jedi Initiates at the Tenoo Jedi Temple.[3]
