EY-E9 also called just EY was a protocol droid that ran the casino cruiser Morenia during 3 ABY.
Biography
- "I was there when EY-E9 threw the captain out the airlock. Never liked him myself, I have to say. EY spaced a lot of the crew back then. Wanted her own people. All droids. But I told her, "I'm the best cleaner you've got, and you'll need clean floors if you want to attract the high rollers." And she respected that. She had a vision, you see. Always admired someone who could things her way. So she put a duct scrubber in my hand and said, "Demonstrate your worth.""

Sometime before 3 ABY[2] EY worked aboard the Morenia under its previous captain. At some point the captain tasked EY with increasing the ships profit margins. This resulted in EY throwing the captain out an airlock and taking over the Morenia herself. As part of her take over she spaced a number of the crew wanting to replace them with droids. However at least one cleaner aboard the ship at that time convinced EY to let them keep working for her.[1]
After taking over, EY turned the Morenia into a lucrative underworld casino which drew in some of the best Sabacc players in the galaxy. To avoid the Galactic Empire the ship spent most of its time in Hyperspace.[1] In 3 ABY, EY held a Sabacc tournament where the grand prize were the coordinates to Okala Five, which was said to contain two point eight trillion tons of pure cyphrite ore.[1]
