- "I was there when EY-E9 threw the captain out the airlock. Never liked him myself, I have to say. EY spaced a lot of the crew back then. Wanted her own people. All droids. But I told her, "I'm the best cleaner you've got, and you'll need clean floors if you want to attract the high rollers." And she respected that. She had a vision, you see. Always admired someone who could things her way. So she put a duct scrubber in my hand and said, "Demonstrate your worth.""
- ―Morenia cleaner talking to Kay Vess
A cleaner worked aboard the Morenia both before and after EY-E9 took control of it. Sometime before 3 ABY[2] EY was tasked with improving the ships profits by the previous captain. Deciding the optimal approach was to take over the ship, EY airlocked the captain and a number of the crew in order to replace them with droids. The cleaner convinced EY to keep them on, claiming that they were the best cleaner she had and that clean floors would attract high rollers to her new casino cruiser. EY handed the cleaner a duct scrubber and told them to demonstrate their worth, which they continued to do at least until the Okala Five Kessel Sabacc tournament held in 3 ABY. The cleaner had light skin, short brown hair with a short brown beard, and brown eyes. When Kay Vess visited the Morenia for the Okala Five Kessel Sabacc tournament, the cleaner wore a light brown vest over a long sleeve shirt, grey gloves, brown pants, and brown shoes.[1]
Behind the scenes
The cleaner appeared in the "Wild Card" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on November 21, 2024.[3] They were part of one path a players could take to acquire a universal key to the cruiser. As such it is possible the players will not see or interact with the cleaner during they play through.[1]
