Dunnak was a terrestrial astronomical object[5] located in the Inner Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories'[2] Dunnak system,[3] situated in grid square N-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The Vaathkree Trade Corridor[4] hyperspace route connected it to the celestial bodies Corsin and Ubduria.[1] Dunnak was home to the Docha Institute, an institute featuring one of the galaxy's best medical libraries during the High Republic Era.[5] In 231 BBY,[6] Jedi Padawan Bell Zettifar mentally considered the institute on Dunnak, comparing its medical library to the similarly advanced one aboard the Elite-class research vessel Innovator, a ship he was helping escort.[5]
Behind the scenes
Dunnak was first mentioned in the novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[5] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I and published on June 29, 2021.[7] Prior to its release, Dunnak's mention was included in a StarWars.com preview for the novel on May 21 of that year.[8]

This assumes that the name "Vaathkree Trade Corridor," as used in Star Wars: Aliens of the Galaxy, applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per
Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
