By some point between the years 402 BBY and 382 BBY,[1] a war was fought between a baron from the location Dimok and the location Ripoblus during the High Republic Era. During the war, the baron acquired two orphaned Force-sensitive children as part of a plan to cultivate army generals to fight the war. The Jedi Master Char-Ryl-Roy interrogated the baron regarding the location of the abducted children, forcing him to confess within an hour by using the Force to close the windows and raise the temperature in the room. The children were recovered and sent to the moon Jedha. Master Char-Ryl-Roy's Padawan, Enya Keen, witnessed the interrogation and,[2] in 382 BBY,[1] recalled it after she used the same technique in an attempt to force a confession while interrogating Viceroy Ferrol for his connections to the Children of E'ronoh terrorist group on the planet E'ronoh.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Dimok-Ripoblus war was mentioned the current Star Wars canon in Convergence, a 2022 novel written by Zoraida Córdova as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase II.[2] The conflict originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity as the Sepan Civil War created for Totally Games' 1994 video game, Star Wars: TIE Fighter.[3]

Notes and references

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia dates the events of The High Republic: Convergence to 382 BBY. As Convergence states that Enya Keen is twenty years old during its events, she must have been born around 402 BBY. Since the war takes place prior to Convergence but was occurring when Keen witnessed Jedi Master Char-Ryl-Roy interrogate the Dimok baron, part of the war must have taken place by a point between the years 402 BBY and 382 BBY.
