Desinta was an ice planet in the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Sometime between the years 42 BBY and 32 BBY,[3] Desinta was embroiled in a civil war between the Desintian government, led by the nominally elected Prefect Aminar, and multiple other factions, including the Dan'Gar. During that time, Jedi Padawan Lizel Liit, who had run away from the Jedi Order while having doubts about her future, was sold to the highest bidder on Desinta by the criminal Zarah Bliss, and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn was sent to retrieve her.[1] In 4 ABY, the planet was the site of an attempt to assassinate the rebel leader Mon Mothma.[4]
