"There's a lightsaber in here somewhere. One that I recovered from an old temple on Deneba. Figured it might come in handy."
―Cohmac Vitus, to Jedi Knight Reath Silas[2]

Deneba was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] in the Deneba system in the Maerdocian sector of the Mid Rim Territories[1] that housed a temple known to former Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus.[2] When Commerce Guild scout Tibbs Ospe discovered the planet Vandor, he figured the planet could be a stopping place for traders heading towards Deneba and Manda.[3] By 10 BBY,[4] Ospe fixed the ruins of Ypsobay Trading Company's headquarters and started advertising that traders could find fuel and food at Fort Ypso for their travels. At some point bartender Tivoche Bilure learned Ospe's story about Vandor and wrote it in his journal.[3]
