- "Where's your Jedi?"
[Deesh Crozli speaks an alien language] - ―Mae-ho Aniseya and Deesh Crozli
Deesh Crozli was a black-skinned alien who left her homeworld and ended up on the planet Ueda, where she kept her ear to the ground for information to trade. As Crozli's soft tissue needed to be immersed in an atmospheric mixture that matched that of her homeworld periodically, she wore a black pressure-mask with red lenses while on Ueda, hiding her face. She also wore black robes, a brown money belt that she kept well-secured, and a gray gas mixture monitor on her chest.[1]
In 132 BBY,[3] Crozli was sitting by the gate into[2] Point Ueda, the capital of Ueda,[1] when the Sith assassin Mae-ho Aniseya approached her and produced two[2] credits.[4] Aniseya asked where the local Jedi, Master Indara, was located and Crozli pointed into the city and spoke in an alien language. In response, Aniseya placed the coins in a basket on Crozli's lap. The assassin then proceeded to[2] the Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop,[1] where she murdered Indara.[2]
Behind the scenes
Deesh Crozli first appeared in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[5] Concept art of the character was created by Ivan Manzella, who also produced a render of Crozli's full head.[6] The Ueda gate scene was shot at Shinfield Studios,[7] England.[8] Prior to the release of the episode, Crozli was revealed in a trailer exclusively shown at Celebration Europe[9] during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase on April 7, 2023.[10] She was first identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
