A pressure-mask was a type of black mask that entirely covered the wearer's face. It had a translucent orange bulb over the wearer's mouth, a sculpted nose, and large circular lenses over the wearer's eyes. Because her soft tissues required periodic immersion in an atmospheric mixture that matched her homeworld, the alien Deesh Crozli wore a pressure-mask and a gas mixture monitor while on the planet Ueda during the High Republic Era.[1] She had the mask on while speaking an alien language to the Sith assassin Mae-ho Aniseya in[2] Ueda's capital, Point Ueda,[1] in 132 BBY.[3]

Behind the scenes

A pressure-mask appeared in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[4] Concept art of the mask was created by Ivan Manzella, who also produced a render of it that showed no clear end point between the mask and Crozli's head.[5] The mask was first identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
