Darkknell was an astronomical object located in[1] the Darkknell system[3] of the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories, situated along the Hydian Way at grid coordinates M-17.[1] The Rebel Alliance intelligence officer Cassian Jeron Andor acted under the alias "Aach" as a senatorial contact on Darkknell.[4]
Behind the scenes
Darkknell was first canonically mentioned in the StarWars.com article "Where in the Galaxy Are the Worlds of Star Wars: The Force Awakens?," which was written by Mark Newbold and published on January 29, 2016.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Darkknell first appeared in the novella Interlude at Darkknell by Timothy Zahn and Michael A. Stackpole, which was published in the 1999 anthology Tales from the New Republic.[6]
