The Dandelo system was a star system in the Tammuz sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice[2] that fell within grid square T-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Dandelo system was mentioned as just "Dandelo" on a map of the galaxy[3] designed by Christopher Ibbitt[4] and written by Jason Fry[5] in the reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, New Edition,[3] which was released on March 6, 2025.[6] It was then identified as the Dandelo system in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were also written by Fry.[7]
The system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in "Coby and the Starhunters,"[8] the ninth episode of the animated series Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO, which aired on November 2, 1985.[9] The system was later identified in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Fry.[10]
