The Cyclorria system[2] was located within the Inner Rim Territories in grid square N-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It shared its name with the sentient Cyclorrian species, who lived on the Mid Rim Territories planet Cyclor.[3]
Behind the scenes
- "Cyclorria shouldn't have been mapped but once it was, it seemed weird to strike it. So probably a colony never to be mentioned again."
- ―Jason Fry
The Cyclorria system was first mentioned on a map[1] created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines,[5] designed by Christopher Ibbitt[6] and given out as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim[5] on May 27, 2022[7] prior to the book's release during Celebration Europe[8] of April 7 through 10, 2023.[9] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map article on StarWars.com[2] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[10]
The Cyclorria system was originally added to the map as the home of the Cyclorrian species;[4] however, the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[3] Phase I,[11] had already identified Cyclor as their homeworld.[3] Although Fry admitted that the mapping of Cyclorria had stemmed from an error, the author nevertheless also included the system in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," reasoning that it could have potentially been a colony of the Cyclorrians.[4]
